Our Background & Story
Collins & Sons was established in June 2013 by Paul Collins, his wife Jo and son Sam and his wife Vanessa Collins — starting with a bobcat, a 3-tonne digger, a truck, and a whole lot of determination.
Thirteen years on, Sam, Vanessa and the team have completed hundreds of civil, commercial and residential projects across the Waikato. Sam's qualifications in the building industry and hands-on experience bring a wealth of knowledge to every job we take on.
Meet The Team
With 15 years across civil infrastructure and building construction, Sam leads the team day-to-day. He's personally mentored most of the crew, is solution-focused under pressure, and drives every project toward the best outcome for the client.
Ness keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes, as our key central hub of Collins and Sons Ltd — managing the Financial administration, and Human resources aspects of our business that keeps the business ticking.

Sam and Ness Collins are the backbone of Collins & Sons. Sam brings deep technical expertise and a hands-on approach to every project, while Ness ensures the business runs seamlessly behind the scenes. Together they've built a company the Cambridge community trusts.
